Mr. Bodo Hombach: “I promise you to do whatever is possible, to make the financing of this program a reality”

On 17 October 2001 during his visit in Bulgaria the special Coordinator of the Stability pact for South-Ĺastern Europe Mr. Bodo Hombach met the team of the Resource Centre Foundation working on the Social Adaptation of Redundant Military Servicemen Program.

The Program Director presented the activities and the results achieved to Mr. Hombach and to representatives of the mass media.

The guests met two of the successfully adapted, with the help of the Program, redundant military servicemen and took a look at the Sofia Center for social adaptation, where the meeting itself was held.

"I promise you to do whatever is possible, to make the financing of this program a reality. After I got acquainted to this project, I would like to call it an exemplary project. I have never seen such effectiveness of the money invested and the results achieved. Now I do understand why Romania, Croatia, and Yugoslavia want exactly the same projects - you give a positive example." With these words Mr. Bodo Hombach addressed the hosts and highly estimated social and economic success of the program. He confirmed he would assist the Resource Centre Foundation in receiving through the SP a grown financing for this project for the 2002. In front of the 24 hours newspaper he said that an important aspect from his visit in Bulgaria is "this fantastic project for socialization of the redundant military servicemen... I have decided to support it a lot. In front of Bulgarian Army newspaper he shared that this project is very close to his heart.

Gen. Major Deputy Chief of General Staff Orlin Marinchev confirmed that the Ministry of Defense and the General staff support the Program and count on future effective cooperation in this direction of the efforts of Resource Centre Foundation, Ministry of Defense and SP.
